*Some notes on the talent*

On Taimur:
Local: I first ran into Taimur’s set while at the wolf+lamb thanksgiving afterhours event @ the marcy in brooklyn. The set will be up on the hijack podcast soon, but it was this event that brought a lot of inspiration toward doing hijack. The production was right — turbosound in a room about 1/3 of the size of amsterdam, lightbox install, raspberries on entry — and taimur was excellent, for what i heard of a crazy 3.5 hour set. (Those ny guys go strong and long) Now, its our pleasure to bring him in.

Aaron says: For Taimur, you’ll get unrelenting, fast-paced bass lines like the new yorkers always deliver. He DESTROYS it every time I see him there.

On Caley Martin:
Local: Its fortunate that I’ve had a chance to see Caley play live, b/c otherwise the cynical side of me would be disbelieving of the crisp mixing and thoughtful programming that goes into his regular internet radio shows. The humanaut folks know what’s up with Caley, and its great that the hijack crowd will now as well.

Aaron says: We know caley for his gorgeous deep house and techno – west coast style. caley’s extensive music collection and the lengths he takes to acquire hard to find/unreleased tracks have even managed to creep out sean cusick. that should tell you something.
