Dexter came at the dance music world from the same side as you and me: the dancefloor. He’s made everything from driving trance to quirky rock. Looking back to his releases it’s easy to hear why contemporary bass music figures like Boddika and Bok Bok are playing his music.

There’s something about Dexter’s elastic basslines and sense of funk that dovetails with the timeless nature of electro itself. Plenty of UK names make it on to his mixes, along with fellow electro adopters from his homeland and original innovators from Detroit.
