[PART 1 / BELVEDERE'S / 9pm-2am / $5 after 10pm]
This month we’re proud to welcome the two gents who helm the Baltimore-based More or Less label. Born out of a chance college meeting in Michigan and an even more chance near-simultaneous exodus to Baltimore, the More or Less name has come to represent a widely varied range of influences from Detroit Techno and Baltimore Club to Intelligent Dance Music and German Minimal. Join us as the More or Less crew lays down a night of techno facemelters.
TECHNO BRO [More or Less / DET-BAL-RAL]
Craig Sopo’s live shows are a rare bird in today’s age of laptop jockeys and crossfader-less deejaying. His musical tastes range from 80′s electro and ghetto-tech to acid house and techno and has played alongside many dance music luminaries throughout the Midwest and East Coast. In between crafting genre bending techno and face melting at dj shows, Craig also runs half of the Baltimore More or Less imprint.
His most recent release (March 2012), Brohaus, uncovers a tongue-in-cheek alter ego known only as Techno Bro.

BRNDR [More or Less / BAL]
Little is known about the man behind the beard known as BRNDR, but honestly it’s probably better that way.
TOM SCHREIBER [Rizumu / MADRID / PHL]
Thomas Schreiber brings a playful cleverness, warmth and emotion to the dancefloor. His style of stripped-down funk and rhythm is backdropped by a tapestry of strange and sexy soundscapes.
Thomas began mixing records in 1996 and moved to Philadelphia in 2002 when the landscape there was sparse. As the key founding member of rizumu, Thomas bridged the gap between the already established local collectives and organized undergrounds on a weekly and monthly basis, thereby setting up a foundation around which the growing community would converge.

[PART 1 / BELVEDERE'S / 9pm-2am / $5 after 10pm]
Humanaut & Paxahau join forces to bring the first Official Movement Festival Pre-Party in Pittsburgh to Belvedere’s. We are truly honored to bring one of the most influential techno artists of our time – Mr. Aril Brikha. Your continual support of all the other Out of Orders makes it possible for us to do this for our city for $5 – THANK YOU!
In addition, we’ll be giving away two General Admission passes to the Movement Festival – stay tuned to our Humanaut page for full information on what type of contest we’re going to subject you to in order to win them. ;)
ARIL BRIKHA live [Art of Vengeance / Transmat / Sweden]
In 1998 Aril Brikha reacquainted the world with deep techno soul, as his record Groove La Chord crossed generic boundaries. Is it techno? Is it house? Is it deep house? It’s everything and nothing. It’s simply timeless.

BRIAN KAGE [Beretta Music, Detroit]
The man needs no introduction. You probably caught him at Out of Order in June of 2012 with Luke Hess, one of the most highly regarded parties we did last year according to feedback from YOU. This time he takes the decks at Hot Mass to drive us into the morning with JASON CUBAN.

THE FIRST UNDERGROUND QUALITY LABEL NIGHT IN PITTSBURGH
FRED P [Queens, NYC]
We finally tap the guy who has been on our wish list for years. Dark, funky, nasty, and tripped out are the descriptors for what Fred pushes out of the speakers. His frenetic touring schedule has taken him all across the globe to play at practically any club that’s worth playing these days. Help us welcome one of the heaviest hitters of the UQ stable to Pittsburgh for the first time.
JUS-ED [Connecticut]
You know him, you love him, you probably ate BBQ ribs by the river in Pittsburgh when he played here last time. The main man behind the incredible UQ label returns. This time around he brings his sound out of the sunshine and into the madness of Hot Mass.
Opening set by Jose Luis, who has deleted himself from Facebook and can’t be tagged or RSVP. We actually had to call him on the phone to book this. :(

Gone from Facebook, but not from this earth. He says he’s been using his time off to brush up his DJing. This will put him to the test.
*Update: Unfortunately, he’s back on Facebook, thus proving he really is still on Earth. Not sure if his DJ’ing has improved, but his posting sure hasn’t.
RELATIVE Q

Reckless mixing, killer tunes that you’ve likely never heard before (that he picked up in a basement record shop) You can’t ask for much more in a late-night set. Time to get weird.

Kind of like if the Martinez Brothers played from 9pm-10pm before the cover starts at Out of Order, only they actually played great tracks instead of complete garbage, but didn’t know how to mix.
