Humanaut is proud to present:

Jus-Ed (FOUR HOUR SET!)

(Underground Quality, Conneticut)

DJ Jus-Ed, the Connecticut-based veteran house DJ/Producer will touch down in Pittsburgh for an extended set of sexy, sunbathed cutting-edge house jams. With dance music roots planted in the 80s, Jus-Ed reemerged in 2001 following a brief retirement with his beloved Underground Quality imprint : a launch pad for neo-classic house jocks such as Levon Vincent, Fred P. (Black Jazz Consortium), and DJ Qu.  His long-running radio show, now a weekly feature on MyHouse-YourHouse.net , has developed a religious following from veteran house staples, up-and-comers and audiophiles alike. Bring yourself, your appetite, a positive attitude and prepare your asses for an afternoon of outdoor Underground Quality vibes.

“Big Meat, Small Bun” (J “Rezon-8″ Feresse, Toby T-Bone)

Fast hands. Steeled nerves.  These are your marshalls of the grill – serving up the best dang smoked was-once-a-livin’-creature you ever had. You might say that ’round a campfire they could make more noise than “a jackass in a tin barn.” Men made of larger than life meat, making larger than life meat. Let’s hope your jaws are strong, your will hearty, and your bun big enough!

What we need YOU to bring:

MEAT WILL BE PROVIDED WITH YOUR TICKET – but we need some help with side dishes. Bring chips, salads, veggies, cookies, whatever you feel like.

BYOB – Bring your favorite beverages if you’re 21. Also bring your ID to get a 21+ wrist band. Bringing a cooler labeled with your name is recommended! We won’t have a lot of ice or beverage storage on hand for you, but we will have space to keep your coolers.

$10 presales available here: http://www.showclix.com/event/13129/
More at the door…and food is capped to 150 so buy early!

Caley Martin is a gentleman jack of all nothings. He doesn’t come from a long line of mixologists, however he has laid it down and taken it to town with the Humanaut boys in Pittsburgh more than once, provided countless hours of quality online radio via his show, “Sonic Torsion” on MCast (http://www.mcast.mercuryserver.com/?page_id=7), and been a wiley, goofy son of a gun in the process.

Martin’s influences are varied and tasteful, as you will soon notice during this two hour encroachment into your mind! Hour 1 features choice downtempo selections, while hour 2 ramps up into something more pulsating. Neither hour is beyond Caley’s domain, and soon neither will you! Enjoy!

Paul Rose is one of the most influential figures in the worlds of both dubstep and techno. As label head of Hotflush Recordings, he’s helped release work from Benga, Shackleton and, of course, Joy Orbison and his RA #1 single of 2009, “Hyph Mngo.” Events-wise, he’s one of the masterminds behind Sub:stance, a night that has brought the likes of Mala, D-Bridge, Scion and Kode9 to Berlin’s Berghain. And, under the Scuba name, he’s produced two full-lengths of remarkably diverse work that reflect his wide-ranging taste and machine mastery.

The Triangulation album showcases Scuba’s talent for all things bass-oriented. But his recently birthed SCB moniker has reflected another huge interest of Rose’s, that of the four-four variety. Described recently as “Balearic techno with a rainy soul” by RA’s Max Bacharach, Rose’s SCB project has the same focus on emotional body music. It’s simply filtered through a different tempo.

Humanaut is poised to bring to you an exceptional night of dynamic sonic bliss, highlighting the beautiful union of dubstep and techno, by presenting to you a world leader in bleeding edge electronic music.

Opening Support:

CUTUPS – Dubstep [Wrecked, StackinPaper, 412DNB]
PHASE GHOST – Dub Techno [West Virginia]

Closing set by:

JASON CUBAN – Dubstep + Techno [Humanaut, Full House Productions, Sunset Till Sunrise, Basic State College]
